How can I or my company support the Compton Initiative financially?

Since it takes roughly $72,000 to fund each workday, your cash donations truly make a difference for our mission in Compton. While any amount is welcome, these suggested guidelines can help you make a meaningful donation based on your ability to give: 

$25 – supplies one workday volunteer
$100 to $500 – supplies painting materials at one worksite
$1000 to $2500 – supplies one home
$3000 to $5000 – supplies two or more homes

 

Are my donations to the Compton Initiative tax-deductible?

Yes. The Compton Initiative is a non-profit organization under IRC 501(c)3, so donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law. The Compton Initiative issues tax receipts for annual gifts of $10 or more. Federal tax ID: 26-3663630.

Can my company or I donate supplies instead of cash?

We welcome a variety of in-kind donations. Please contact Jeudy Mom by e-mail at info@justdogood.org for a list of needed supplies.

How are my donations distributed and used?
While in-kind donations of material supplies are distributed to various sites as needed, cash donations directly fund workday supplies and organizational operating expenses.
